Well, my excellent local long island dealer, South Shore Sportsman, called me today to come and pick up my new R9 that they just received from the distributor, Arego's (it's too bad a gun can be manufactured 15 miles from my house, but it has to ship to me from the other side of the country). I have to bring it to the local PD headquarters tomorrow to get it added to my permit, then it's off to the range to check it out. I already had the VZ grips waiting, so i put them on today. I bought a two-tone R9S two weeks back, but before i shot it, i decided i wanted the Stealth, and without sights. Now I don't know whether to sell the first one, or just box it up and keep it in mint condition without ever firing it. I am not really usually into keeping something i will never use just to keep it, but i don't know in this situation. It seems like alot of cash to tie up for something i wont be using.
Up until today, i mostly carried a Kahr P380, which is very light and always operates flawlessly. If not carrying the Kahr, i just drop a Seecamp .380 into my back pocket and forget it's there. This R9 will probably eventually go in a Nemesis holster in the back pocket.
