Since no one has chimed in yet, Jack, I'll just note that I purchased the G19's big brother, the Gen4 G17, for my wife after she shot her Court Officer's G17 and liked it. With Tracker's assistance I was able to have Teddy Jacobson ("Actions by T") give the pistol one of his signature action jobs and install a N.Y.#2 trigger to provide an additional level of safety for her. I've also installed the new recoil assembly that Glock offered as an improvement to the original. The result is a pistol that she really likes.

Being a dedicated 1911 type, I always said I would never purchase a Glock. I've now learned never to say never. (The things we do for love . . . .   ::) )

I also have the gen4 17, and find it even more perfect than the earlier iterations. It worked fine with the included recoil spring, but I also exchanged it for the Glock recommended upgrade which works great as well.
The Gen4 17, for me,  is the easiest, most natural shooting pistol ever.  It isn't sexy, but it does what it is told, never argues, and doesn't need much attention.
