Question on value
« on: July 04, 2025, 02:11:15 PM »
Howdy all, i bought my R9 back in 2010, carried it on and off for a while, then moved to higher capacity plastic pieces. It’s been in the safe for years.

I am looking to reduce the head count of my collection by working with a dealer on gun broker. In the batch I am offering is an R9 in the 53xx serial range. The question I have is how best to establish a reasonable value. I have done some looking on this site and and on GB, I am finding a wide range of prices. Does anyone have an experience they would share or words of wisdom?

Thanks for help.

Probably not the answer your hoping for but R9 prices seem to be down.  Looking at past, sold, gunbroker auctions most that have sold in t3cent months are in the $600-$800 range with a couple as much as $1650ish but those sells look fishy because of like guns offered at the same time of those listed for much lower prices.

The Rohrbaugh market goes up and down historically.  Right now its way down from what I've seen.

Thank you for the response. That is just my luck with me: buy high, sell low. The R1s seem to be a collector's and more of a niche item. I. Got mine back in 2010 because I thought they were a very cool semi-custom mini 9mm. I joined this site back then, but I was never very active, and unfortunately, I lost my username and history.  A lot has changed over the years; now it just sits in the safe, and now it’s time for it to find a new home.
