Richard,  6ft Mako  I'm sure you had your hands full.  You don't want him to the boat to soon.  Stick a gaff in him when he is still green and thats when people get hurt.  They have been known to jump right in the boat.  How much did he weigh?

FireBreather01,  I do believe there is something to the legends.  To many people say they have seen bigfoot for it for it to be a hoax.  That said I have been itching to walk around a friends cabin with big foot shoes on because I know it would spook him.  Just haven't worked out the logistics.  Dan

Dan:

He weighed in at 110 pounds.  I hooked him while trolling for dorado using a ballao as bait on a 35-pound-test line.  The first time he jumped, I figured the line wouldn't last more than a minute or two.  He won the Ocean City Marlin Club's season record for Mako.  The trophy and certificate are in the photograph.  (Sometimes you get lucky.)

Richard

Nice shark - I bet your house is interesting to tour.
What room is that shark in?

Dave:

When the photograph was taken, the shark was hanging in the bedroom of my "bachelor pad" between marriages.  All of my trophies are now consigned to a room which I call my den and my elegant and beloved little wife calls, "The Wilderness."   ;D

Hey Dave - that is cool SWF - simple but fun!

Richard - congrats on that superb specimen you caught - proud man that day eh - and since!

''Wilderness'' - hmmm sounds almost complementary compared with what my dear wife might call my office sometimes.  ;;Disaster Area'' might be one (printable) option! ::) ;D

Dave, that SWF file is fun.  It took me a while to figure out that it is a "Flash" type of file extension.

Richard, you must have been exhausted after catching that shark.    It's quite a prize.  Congratulations.

Dave,

That is a rather improbable combination, isn't it.

It got me smiling, too.

I don't live as remote as some folks and would certainly relish positions such as Dave has, FlyandScuba, Richard - some others too.

But anyways - having just got some aerial pics thru I commissioned taken by ''American Images'', thought I'd post one showing a flavor of the general setting.

My place is the one bottom center, with very light reddish brown roof colors.  In the distance is Evitts Mountain, which runs SSW clear down one side of Cumberland valley to near Cumberland MD.
