VERY GOOD NEWS
« on: February 16, 2005, 01:51:46 PM »
The Maryland handgun board approved the R9 to be sold in the state this morning helped by a glowing report by their ballistics expert on quality of manufacture and accuracy. We have to wait 30 days to see if there is any objection to their decision so Marylanders should be able to buy R9's by April 5th.

Newt, Who has the ability to object that decision? It follows their rules.   I am happy for you.   Tom

Irish, As a matter of law they have to advertise the approval to allow any objections, by whom I don't know, to the decision of the board. The good news is they have never had any problem with this in the past approvals of other guns.

Excellent news and hopefully the 30 days is but a formality.  Good they make mention of quality etc ... it'd be an idiot who couldn't see that ... so I guess that's why they managed!  :P

Congrats again on the future possession..

Jar, I don't have access to that report and as I am over that hurdle in my quest to own and carry the R9S I hesitate to awaken the board or draw attention any further matters concerning Md. approval of this fine gun ,scared that something adverse could arise out of any inquiry as to why it was passed.
