Can anyone confirm the exact frame material?
« on: September 12, 2009, 04:16:07 PM »
Does anyone know what the current production frame material is?

I can call the company on Monday if there is no response by then.

Thanks on advance.

This came off the Rohrbaugh site.
State of the Art:
Our firearms are designed with the use of CAD/CAM programs. CNC machines perform the manufacturing. Then each gun is then hand fitted and assembled in our state of the art facility. The materials used are of the highest grade, including quality stainless steel, 7075 aircraft aluminum, G-10 grips and Wolff springs.

I believe that is the same aluminum that Kimber uses in their lightweight carry pistols.

I saw that on the site also but since it didn't say that the frame specifically was 7075, I didn't want to make the assumption.

I think it's the only thing it could be is the frame. It seems to be the common grade of aluminum for pistol frames and AR uppers and lowers.
