The bottom photo is a replica of the original RJ brass tool.

The top middle is Brian's tool. What's the difference between the two?

The function is the same; RJ's brass tool was just of a different quality.

The bottom is for assembly, which is a real ^%$#%^&&*. The ones to remove the take down pin I just lay a allen wrench on it's side with the  1/16th sticking up, line up the pin, and press down. That's the easy part.

The bottom tool is also for aligning the slide and frame holes to reinsert the takedown pin.  You use the tool in the ejection port like a wedge and you insert or pull back until the holes are perfectly aligned.

I learned a trip from a post here years ago...buy a blue plastic buss puller at Lowes for a few bucks, Dremel a semicircular slot in one of the jaws and it is the perfect spring compression tool for putting the recoil spring assembly back in the slide.

We could make these in brass, aluminum, titanium, gold or silver. For price reasons aluminum is the cheapest and still does the job. Just trying to keep prices down.
