Was someone looking for a Sten?
« on: January 29, 2018, 12:27:25 PM »
I thought I read where someone on here wanted a Sten. GunsAmerica has a article on a build you can do in one day. SARCO has the demilled parts kits and Indianapolis Ordnance has the rest. All that's needed is a Dremil, a cheap welder, and a drill. Looks like a fun, cheap project.

I REALLY like that Sten but I wondered about mags? Are the modified of some type or surplus? They looked single stack and metal. Neet gun though.

The magazines are not modified from any other gun, (they were originally designed to replicate the MP-40 mags the Germans were using) originally made for the STEN gun.  They made millions of them.  Being a double column, single feed they had all the problems associated with that design.  Surplus magazines are easy to find and cheap.  They even make new polymer magazines if you want to go that route.
