It sounds somewhat similar to the "tri-action" on the Daewoo pistols. You can carry it cocked and locked, in DAO for first shot, or a condition where you cock the gun and push the hammer forward. When you pull through the trigger in this condition, it results in a very light and smooth DA -- or "fast fire" mode as they call it.

The guy next to me at the Dallas gun show had a nice cylinder and slide Browning HiPower, with hard chrome finish, for sale for $1750.
