You are all probably tired of wild turkey pictures.  This guy was looking at me though the window this morning with his peak at the glass.

Here is the second car. Old Dune Buggy  This car won some shows. Went from the Plymouth that only burned High Test with a little aviation fuel 6 miles per gallon. To the Dune buggy that got 35 mpg and burned pretty much anything. Had alot of fun with both. Dan

Probably posted this before but we have another in the pond - plus two (courting!) toads.

Dan:

I'll bet you ruled the road in that Fury!  And that Dune Buggy must have been a blast to drive off-road.  Thanks for the photos.

It is a he Dan -two of them hang out together -we call them "the boys".  In a few more weeks you will start to see them forming flocks - as fall approaches the flocks get larger as the babies grow. Have had some flocks around 30.

Chris - either you used a zoom or your frogs are much tamer than the ones around here.   Great picture!

Dave:

I never get tired of seeing your turkey photographs, but I don't seem to be able to open this one.  At times, my monitor shows only one of those small white squares with the red X in the center.  At other times, such as now, the monitor shows only your text.

I'll run a virus scan and try again.

Chris:

When I was a teenager tasked by my mother to supplement the larder, I became rather good at "gigging" those critters down on the Arkansas River at night.  (I still like frog legs for dinner.)  Great photo!

Richard - frog's legs I never tried - along with escargots - I was tempted when in France but somehow the fine wine won the day ;)

Dave - indeed some zoom but also this fella was not fussed by slow movement so - a slow approach to a chouch, then kneel then shuffle - got me close in.  Obliging fella - have one or two more - here's another one - I can be patient, just now and again!

Well here is the commuter car.  I used to have a Dodge Magnum, but the gas prices and 74 mile round trip commute led me to look for cheaper alternatives.  Found this used at a steal of a price and was hooked.  I wasn't too keen on the color at first, but it grows on you.  People can't help but smile as I drive by (and I know its not me they are smiling at  ;))
