New R9S Stealth

Just got it today. Purchased it through Tim (Fastguns22) at gunbroker.com. Put a dozen rounds through it (was in a hurry) and man what a kick it has but I was able to place the shots where I wanted them. Going to take a little getting used to the recoil, but I couldn't be happier.

I plan to join you soon.  I plan to wrap mine with some kind of rubber thingy to tame the recoil.

kcub.  You may want to try the R9 out first before any decision making because of recoil; however, it seems you are really concerned on mentioned subject; just a thought!    ;)

I didn't put a lot of rounds through it, but after the first couple, I found a way to hold it 2 handed that worked for me and allowed for pretty good accuracy. There is quite a bit of kick, but once you get the feel for it, it's nothing that you won't be able to get comfortable with.

I should also mention that this is only my second handgun and my other is a Sig Sauer P250 Sub Compact. I originally got it as a CCW but it's just too big and bulky to really carry regularly. It doesn't help that I live in Southern Florida and work from home so I pretty much live in shorts and sandals. While I love the P250 SC, it will wind up as a Range and In Home Pistol for me now that I have the R9S Stealth which is much more appropriate as a CCW. The Sig is also a great range gun. I can use cheaper Remington UMC rounds and put hundreds of them through it in a single session at the range.

And a welcome from me as well, together with congratulations on your choice of pistol and layout of the photograph. Everything there is potentially lethal. (Please pardon the envious remark of a former smoker who is still fighting the urge to light up now and then.   ;))
