Rohrbaugh aluminum grips
« on: September 19, 2008, 06:43:17 PM »

Hello again group,

I really like my custom brass grips for my two R9's but also got a black checkered and silver checkered set for my regular and stealth guns.  Very, very nice.  much better than the carbon fiber or the G-10 grips.   Money well spent.  Now I have lots of variations to play with.

I love my R9's, finnacky eaters even though they may be.  I wouldn't trade them for anything currently on the market.

I was wondering if you or anyone else would be willing to post pics of the grips.  I would like to see what they look like and any advice on how they feel.  Particularly Smooth vs Partial Checker.  I would like to try them on my R9 Elite.  The pictures on the Rohrbaugh site are not enough to get a good idea of how they look and feel on the pistol.  Thanks.

fultoncoshooter,

Excellent photos of the brass grips are on the forum already.  It shouldn't take to much searching.  They were custom units by IDM LLC.

I do now have a digital camera but haven't even read the manual yet.
I strongly recomend the partial checkering.  My R9's REALLY benefit in the grip department with the partial checkering.
I recomend against the silver grips and even my brass grips ONLY because they are just a little to 'bling'.  If I had it to do over I would but the black grips on my standard and stealth models.
