Rohrbaugh holsters

Does anyone have any experience with the holsters listed for sale on the rohrbaughfirearms.com store?  I am looking at the paddle scabbard holster and maybe the regularscabbard holster.  Your comments would be appreciated, thank you.

I have no experience with the ones you mentioned, but I did find a good short term solution if you don't mind IWB carry.  I picked up a Bianchi clip-on IWB, right hand, model 6D-9A and it fits the R9s beautifully.  I think I paid about $25.  It has an adjustable thumb break strap which retains the gun well.  If you're looking for a cheap & easy solution while you shop for your ideal holster, this might work well. Hope this helps.

I am still unsure about wether I want IWB or OWB but I may try you suggestion becasue it would be a pretty cheap way to see if I wouldn't mind IWB.  I would still want a holster made specifically for the Rohrbaugh without a thumb break though.

I purchased the paddle holster and wear it every day.  It is made by deSantis and is adjustible for a forward cant.  I love it.

I had the mini scabbard (#019) it was a nice holster , but I prefer OWBs with a slide guard. You might check D.M. Bullards site he makes very nice holsters at a good price in a reasonable amount of time.

I weigh 140 and have a small frame.  Do you think I would better suited with a IWB or OWB or should I just buy and try both?

I have heard that paddle holsters are bad because someone can easily remove your weapon by rotating the holster and breaking the paddle.  Any thoughts or opinions on this?

 If someone bad is close enogh to do that you probably already needed your weapon out. The whole trick is knowing when to deploy and always protecting the side your weapon is on.

My son-inlaw is about that size and IWB or OWB works well for him, I have another 100lbs and prefer OWB, I do not find IWB as comfortable.

 What?? He was not asking for old holsters or failed holsters , he was just concerned about Paddle type of which there are many successful models.

The paddle made by DeSantis and sold by Rohrbaugh works well for me as does the Meco pocket holster.

I got the DeSantis #086 R9 Speed Scabbard from the website very nice fit and very comfortable to carry all day long. When I got it, I took my R9 put it in a dress sock and crammed it in the holster hard for 24 hours. Now I have a very good fit. Very pleased with this holster.

As someone who never carried before, I have to ask a dumb question. With a front pocket holster is the smooth side supposed to be against the body or against the pants to prevent printing? I'm right handed and think I received a left hand model.
