Thanks, Richard_S, for the support.. I'm too darned old to be impatient, but I have been spoiled. The only other piece I have had to wait on was that lil cutie of a Beretta CX-4 .45.

Heck, even my M1A National match was at the home port in two weeks.

Oh, well... patience is a virtue, my momma says.

Sky - I am an ''old 'un'' too and waiting does take on the realms of - ''will I still be here to enjoy - name object!!''.  

OTOH - life is so full, and so busy - I try to get on with everything else, knowing for sure that as long I AM still around, those weeks and months will, most assuredly, fly by.

The passage of time and its accelerated speed scare me - so I do my best when waiting for, anything - to try not to wish it away.  I am on countdown to oblivion but try to put that aside a bit!

Get busy - stay active and those weeks will fly - you know they will!!

Skyhook     I agree with Chris - don't wish those days away - those five months will come fast enough.  There can be joy in the wait - especially if your a young guy.  As you get older time seems to go faster - it is almost like God is putting you on the fast-track to the next step.  My only child, daughter, lives across country in California.  I would give a lot to have just one of those days back taking her to a music lesson and etc.

I've waited in the past two years to get a Seecamp and three years to receive an ordered custom knife.  I don't know if I have the patience at this time in my life for the approaching year wait that some have had on this forum.  I have seen posts where some have found R9S sources and have had a very reasonable, or no, wait.  I may investigate that route over an order with the local gun shop.   "Get busy living or get busy dying"

Sage advice, friends.

I will 'fill my days' as there are so darned many things that need doing 'round here.

Take my instruction of NRA basic pistol, for instance... or my charter flying intop Kennedy and Buffalo and Albany.. with the odd trip to the cape. And I also have my own dear little aerobatic plane to try to master..

And there's the farming! Oh, well... when that 'Pup' (where'd that name come from?) shows up, I will find time to become proficient and I'll also find time to let you all know!

Sky - I think in fact I am to blame for that!!

Probably way back - a year or so ago when I got my #1 and the forum was young, I coined the term - seeming as it did rather apt... it is for me a term of affection.

Ahhh, so-o-o. I do happen to own and occasionally shoot a Ruger SRH .454.

Truth is, I put out around twenty boxes of .45Colt for every box of .454Casull. Uh, huh.

Michigunner, thanks for the compliment.. actually I picked up the rascal near you ( I think)-- in Kalamazoo.

Since we both flew the Beech Mentor (yours a A or B model?), you will appreciate the fact that the controls on my little acft are lighter by half and they are harmonized. My ship is faster than the T-34, also. But it is small.

(Those augmenter tubes made that Beech sound like a serious airplane. )

Mine was ordered last month, and should be here in a couple of weeks, if everything goes OK.

I'm really looking forward to it.  I've always wanted a small, quality pocket firearm, something you could trust.

My wife is not particularily fond of firearms, so I told her the Rohrbaugh was heirloom quality.  She is a major antique collector person, so that made things a little better.
