Anybody know what Rohrbaugh has cooking?
« on: October 10, 2005, 05:39:03 AM »
There are rumors flying around that Rohrbaugh is going to introduce two new models. One of them HAS TO BE the R9 chambered in .380ACP -- that is only logical and I'll chew on my keyboard if that isn't one of the models. :P

Now the second model is a mystery to me. I'm not asking anyone to give out any information that they were asked to keep in confidence but I have the opportunity to buy another R9 but if I do that, I won't have the funds to buy a third one when the "mystery" model is annouced at the ShotShow in Feb.

For those that know, should I hang on to my money for the "mystery" model when it comes out or should I get another R9 now?

Don't want to pass up a good deal now but also don't want to blow my funds when I might also want the new model that comes out.

Help!

Someone at Rohrbaugh told me what they were planning (and asked me not to reveal it). I'm afraid I can't remember whether the two new models were supposed to be announced at this upcoming SHOT show, though. Given how long it took them to get the R9/R9s into production after they announced it, though, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad thing to go ahead and take advantage of a good deal at this time. On the other hand, I suspect you might be excited about the announcement. Your call . . .  ;)

Wish I knew the new models too!! :)

But I just went ahead and bought another R9s anyways.. ;) ;D

I think that the 9mm in this Pkg. is perfect..

Now if something a bit "smaller"in frame came along I would have to look at it really hard.. ;D

You're killing me :-/ Can you at least tell me (even privately if you don't want tp say publicly) if it is a beef'ed up version of the current R9?

I will just wait patiently - and hope I have the funds when a new offering appears that takes my fancy.

In truth it would have to be very special - as my R9 is all I ever wanted for deep concealment and BUG - and bearing in mind, I carry full size almost constantly so not as much need for mini pieces.

I'm really the same way, Chris.

The R9 is the last word in concealment, as we know it now.

I have a larger Sig P239 9mm which is more than adequate.

The new products would have to be very desirable, at an attractive price.

Bill and Chris.

Tom called today to say I should receive my R9 this week - we had a long conversation - a wonderful guy.

I am not a big pistol carry guy - except sometimes a 357 while in the woods.  So the R9, along with my Seecamp LWS 32 and the LWS 380 I am waiting for, seems to fulfill my needs.

Saying that I could be one of the first to go for the new one - never know.  It would be interesting though to have a few new models to be discussed on the forum.  Then Chris, you would have to get them to be able to give us your usual expert  information/advise.

Dave,

That is good news, indeed!

It is such a great pleasure to receive a new toy.  I'm always excited when the UPS man arrives.   :)

I know you will enjoy having it.  We will all have fun talking about new products from Rohrbaugh.

Be safe!

Bill
