Did what is was made for
« on: March 14, 2007, 07:32:53 PM »
Took a never Fired R9 to the range, fired 7 Rounds  as Fast as I could pull the trigger then put a 2nd mag in and again pulled the trigger as fast as I could, all was %100 percent, then fired up 28 rounds Not one problem, also had a Good target picture, went home cleaned her up and back in the Holster, now I know this weapon is ready for Defense.

Every month I will shoot several rounds just to keep the spiders out and will keep me up on the cleaning if it needs it or not. ;D

I used the Recommended , (Gold dot 115 grain)  I told the Guy next to me that I was going to Fire this Firearm as fast as I could to see if it would Jam or have a FTF so not to disturb his shooting, he was impressed on a Firearm that small in 9mm and the way it fired, he did take down the info to check into the firearm.  Sometime you cannot Baby a firearm you just have to kick it in the A-- and show it who is Boss.

All Kidding aside my Life is to important to put a Non-recommanded round in it and assume when needed it is going to fire.

If people feel that they cannot do it with a 115 grain then it is best to go to a 45 cal.  Just my Opinion. :) :)

Hello All, Brand new Member here! Just picked up a very gently used R9s from Lawyer here in Motown that bought the pup for his wife. She put one box (20 rounds) down the pipe and decided that the little pup had too much bark for her. Anyway I have been reading in some past posts about Slide cracking. Can anyone give me some more details on this? My pup is #631, and I am a bit concerned. Thanks
