I've been reading for a while and enjoy the discussion here.  I took the plunge and received a R9S last week thanks to The Irish Guard.  Two trips to the range with about 25 rounds per session using 124 GD and 115 STs.  No malfunctions at all.  I also tried a magazine of WWB FMJs without any problems.  Accuracy is good at 7 yards.  Shootability is also good with managable recoil, although I begin to notice it after a couple magazines.  I'm shooting a little low (me not the gun), which I attribute to being used to Glock triggers.  I've been carrying it in a KD pocket holster.  It hides well and after a day or two, I barely notice it.  All in all it looks like a winner and I'd recommend it to others.  I must also mention the great experience working with The Irish Guard.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the great range report.

That's the kind of news we like to hear.  I know Tom does for sure.

S3:

Welcome to the Forum, and thank you for the good range report!  And if your "handle" reflects current or prior assignment as an operations officer in the Army or Marine Corps, permit me also to thank you for your service to our country.

>>Hi S3...

I too would like to welcome you to the forum, and to congratulate you on the purchase of an awesome weapon which will serve you well if treated as per accompanying literature...!!

Tom of the Irish Guard is a great guy to deal with, and a fine, fine, super fine fellow overall.  I chose to wait a year to purchase a particular gun from Tom while I could have nabbed the same item quicker and probably cheaper from some unknown off the internet.

You will find Tom Watson and the folks at Rohrbaugh Firearms to be "old school" when it comes to doing business.  They believe in their products, stand behind them after the sale, with the mindset to make/keep their customers happy, all within reason and sometimes beyond it.

At this time in history it is a rarity to find folks like this, and I am honored to shout their praises at every opportunity...!...TW<<
