Have been researching Rohrbaugh 9's for a couple of months and decided to go for a Robar.  Then the trick was to find one.

I saw the post by Chief-USN in the Classifieds section from June 7 and followed his lead 2 days ago.  My Robar is on it's way to my FFL and I am psyched!

This forum is great for information and I look forward to participating.  Been shooting since 1985 but this is my first "pocket pistol".  Can't wait until my pup arrives home!

Thank You Chief for taking the time to create that post!!!

Welcome to the forum and way to go jumping in and getting the cream of the crop Robar edition.  Let us know how you like it and post pictures if you can.  Robar R9 as your 1st pocket pistol, W0W!!!!!  You don't play.

Had a few bucks saved for it and sold one of my S&W 44's (a 50th Anniversary Model 29).

Had to do a Rohrbaugh after I researched and handled a bunch of the competition.  I've never even seen an R9 in person and this is the first time I buying a firearm without handling it first.  I have no fear that it is the right decision.

I'll post picks when she gets here.  Thanks for the quick welcome!

Welcome to the Forum, hayabusa and congrats on purchasing the Rohrbaugh Robar.  You really did make the right decision and you will be proud, for sure.  Again welcome and post often.

Hayabusa, welcome to the best gun forum on the internet, the best people, and the best pocket pistol made anywhere! Like you, I bought the gun having never seen one. Also like you it was my first time ever buying a pistol without firing it, or at least seeing it. Long story short I now have four of them and love them all. Again, welcome. Post often and enjoy.    Gene

huyabusa I went the same route you did.  I ordered the Robar as my first Rohrbaugh.  I got it and I can't remember any pistol I was ever more satisfied with from the beginning.  I went to the range and put 200 rounds through it on my first outing, not one failure to feed or eject.  I put Winchester White box, Federal and Speer holow points through it.  Everything went flawless.  I do however find that this Rohrbaugh is much like the 1911 in that, now I just want another one, not for any good reason, I just feel the need to order another.
I went with the Meco front pocket holster and could not be more satisfied all the way around.

hdfb.  Welcome to the Forum.  Congrats on the Robar and excellent range report.  Yep!  The 2nd one sort of just follows for no real reason, like you said, except for the sheer want of the little wonders.  Again welcome and post often.

huyabusa/hdfb910 - welcome to forum to the both of you!

Not only is the Rohrbauh tops, Robar puts out top notch products as well.  I have both, separately - that is I do not have a Robar Rohrbaugh, but I have a Rohrbaugh and some other guns done by Robar.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Pup will probably be in my hands on Monday.  Even before I have it my mind is processing through which holster, where do I find a mint set of Carbon Fiber grips, I know my wife will want one but a 9 or 380 is the question, oh man...I'm addicted already...any Farmingdale's out there, uhhh blue C.F. grips, damn those Special Forces variants are expensive...

I've been lurking on this forum for about 2 months and must say that the "character" of those posting is great.  I also participate on motorcycle and custom knife forums that can tend to get a bit snippy, sometimes downright disrespectful.  Haven't seen that here and appreciate it!

Can't wait to start testing ammo and finding the one my gun likes best.

Thanks for the welcome notes and hope I can be an asset to the forum!
