New R9 owner with some questions
« on: August 04, 2010, 02:30:53 AM »
Well after being a long time lurker, I was able to purchase one of these little gems. I took it out today before work and ran about 20 rounds of WWB through it. I love this pistol! I paid $800 for it used at the local fun store. I know I got a pretty good deal. Is there any other grip options for the R9? Maybe pacmayer? Or Hogue? Did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything. Is factory my only option? ::)

Romad:

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on selecting the finest pocket pistol out there.

After-market grips are a "work in progress" on the part of a couple of Forum members. There may be some developments soon in that regard.

Romad, welcome to the forum, enjoy it here and your pup. The Hogue checkered grips are available thru Rohrbaugh.  Tom

Romad, welcome to the best forum anywhere. I think you'll enjoy it here. As to the extreme grips that Tom mentioned in the previous post, I have them on three of my rohrbaughs, and wouldn't be without them. Your grip on the gun is more secure and feels more "solid" for lack of a better word. Hope this helps. Again welcome.     Gene`

Romad.  Welcome to the Forum; what Tom of the Irish Guard said on the grips; lots of folks here like those.  Oh! And congratulations on getting the R9.  It's a little wonder, for sure!

Welome to the fire romad.

Hang around or look through some posts ( accesssories section) and you will see that P7 is  or will be offering some grip options as well.

Thanks for info and the warm welcomes. I'm going to look into those Hogue grips. My pup came with these blue black grips that are a little to smooth for me.

Yes Sir - I understand.  Grail is Grail - even where I came from over at Beretta Forum, we had the same "problem" with 'favorite colors' and such... ::)

Ohhh.  Trust me.  The color blue is not a problem; just what the color is on; however, I do know what you mean.    :)
