just wondering...
i'd like to upgrade calibers of my current carry gun (seecamp 32) and i may have the option to purchase a "used" 2009 R9s with less than a couple hundred rds thru it, but am concerned about not inheriting the "original owner's" lifetime warranty.
having been though an untold number of "used" firearms in the last 45 years i've rarely worried about this, mainly because repairs for most modern "consumer" guns are reasonably priced.
but i'm hesitant to purchase "used" when it comes to higher-cost, high-quality firearms made in very limited quantities that might require having any work done by the maker only.
i've heard horror stories about folks who bought other brands of "used" firearms that were no longer covered by a factory warranty so when they needed work done, the factory charged outrageous prices (in particular a brand of single action revolver with the initials "A" and "F", but not in that order).
your thoughts would go a long way to helping me decide if saving $200-300 on a "used" rohrbaugh is ok, or if the factory warranty is something important enough to worry about (in other words: only buy a new one).
thank you!!!
