Boy do I have questions about the R9s

I just got this R9 a few hours ago - as noted by many it is one well made piece but is really different from my other semi autos in a lot of ways.
I stripped it to clean and oil and it disassembled easily but WOW tricky to reassemble.  

Questions:
1) What's the trick to compress and get the recoil assembly back.  It really wants to fly off of the channel lock pliers and I tried but can't put it in with fingers alone as in that youtube video.

2)Has anyone fabricated a tool for this?

3)How do you align the rear circular part of the recoil assembly so that the slide slips in place on the frame smoothly?  The tolerances on the gun are so tight that I really have to play with it or else the recoil assembly hangs up early on the frame in a couple of places.

4)Other than that one handed upside down trick Rohrbaugh recommends is there a better way to remove the barrel pin?

5)What's with the warning to keep the screws on the right hand grip tightened? Is that what keeps the sear spring in place?

I can't wait to try it out now that I have it back together.
I am pretty excited to start using it as a main carry piece once I have tried it out a bit. It fits really nicely into all of my Kahr 380 custom holsters and seems to carry and draw better.

3.  Meke sure the circular part of the recoil assembly is centered with the barrel.  This is key.  If you go back and look at the video, you can see the guy making sure it is perfect.

4.  Barrel pin shouldn't be a problem with a takedown tool ordered from John (yankee2500) here on the Forum and available here in the classifieds.

5.  Right hand grip screws must be tight as that keeps the trigger spring in place.

If you search around this forum, there is lots of information about reassembly.  Specially made tools are available for purchase in the classified section, or you can make a tool for recoil spring reassembly out of a bent paperclip (that's what I use).  There is a thread here that shows how to do it.

Get the spring perfectly centered when putting the slide back on, and you should be ok.

It's definitely a tricky gun to reassemble.  With practice, it will get easier.

Thanks for the tips - I could not find the info on the paper clip trick but the fuse puller is perfect - Home Depot stocks them here.  Will fabricate one for use after tomorrows range trip.

It sure does fit perfectly in the Mitch Rosen P380 holster I got from Kahr.

I put mine together with my fingers.  I guess a tool is ok, but I haven't found a need for one...

Same here, I just use my hands.

I do have a tool RJ made but it doesn't have the opening to hold the spring, it's only use is to keep the slide open to push the pin out.

I do like looking at these genius inventions that are produced here on the forum.
