Hello and welcome to the forum Scott.
Yes, we sold the company, Rohrbaugh Firearms Corp., to Remington Arms Company January 14, 2014. The new Remington RM 380 is basically our design with a few things "upgraded", such as moving the mag release to the side where most Americans like it, added the slide stop, more pronounced "beaver tail" and more mim parts rather than our CNC cut from solid billet parts. I have an RM380 and I must say they did a nice job of it! They even maintained the 7075 T6 aluminum frame where they were originally going to go with a plastic frame. I told them you better stay with the 7075 frame or you will loose the audience. They wisely stayed with metal frame. In reference to new springs, I believe Remington has in place a repair/warranty shop in a place in Michigan called Williams Gun Sights. (Williams Gun Sight, Inc.,PO Box 329, Davison, Michigan 48423 / 810-653-2131 or 1-800-530-9028). If they are out of the recoil springs, then contact the folks who were making them for us from day one: Wolff Springs. They began making spring sets again due to the cult following of the firearm. Walter and his crew are great and very helpful.
Well, should you have any more questions, just post them here and many of the fine gentlemen here on the forum will step up and answer them for you. If it is a real "doozy", you can certainly send me a PM here and I'll do my best to help you out.
So, with that said. . . . Again, welcome aboard.
Enjoy your weekend.
Regards,
Eric C. Rohrbaugh
