Rohrbaugh R9 (all variations) / Re: R9 stealth on gb.

True if there are no reliability or defective issues. In any case it is less than the original MSRP. It seems that there are two categories of R9 buyers at this time: collectors and EDC'ers, with some of both also in the wings.

The two groups buy guns from opposite ends of the serial number ranges. The EDC’ers want the later guns with all the upgrades and the collectors want the early blue CF farmies.

The bidding has gotten hot and heavy, up to $662 as of 2:10 Sunday.

I will be surprised if it doesn't get sold for a lot more.

I think that we should all share in the cost of running this forum & volunteer our services when needed to help Duane. I'm not crazy of the Seecamp idea. I am crazy about my Seecamp .32 though.

My only concern if the forum ended is that the wealth of searchable info would be lost.

I am still here as well....check in most days, but not much happening except buy/sell R9’s.

The three iconic breakthrough high quality small carry pistols that I am familiar with (I own at least one of each) are the Rohrbaugh, the LWS Seecamp, and the Boberg XR9.  The Boberg is gone, re-invented as the Bond Bullpup, with it’s own following and, I suppose a Bond sponsored forum.  The Rohrbaugh is bought, traded and valued by a small and perhaps diminishing but discriminating group of enthusiasts with a friendly, intelligent and mutually respectful group on its well managed Forum.  The Seecamp, under new ownership is flourishing with an active and also well managed Forum that is, as with the Rohrbaugh Forum, attended by a knowledgeable group of helpful and friendly people.  A number of our members here also participate there.

Now, at the risk of being roundly censored and abused, I would offer a thought for consideration:  Would is be possible to combine this Forum with he Seecamp group by asking if they would add to their “Other Guns” thread an additional “R9 enthusiasts” thread where we could all continue to meet while taking a load and expense off of Duane?

Interesting to see where it goes,   I think it's not a bad buy at the BN price.

This could be a steal for someone, and become a significant part of their collection.

Hi Eric!

Oh boy, I haven't fired this pup in probably two years. Of course, cleaned and tightened then. Been carrying an M&P340 or a G43 more frequently when on my own time in the interim.

Last maintenance was this past September, I know that because I had to move the guns from my shield to my permit then, so they all got the spa treatment.

This gun has always run like a top, since the day I got it, and before that for the guy (a close friend) who had bought it new.

I have a supply of spare recoil springs and replace when appropriate. I used to shoot it quite often, much more than many, I suspect.

This just caught my eye, because it reminded me that once it did slip out of a Hedley pocket holster and land on the tile, when I sat to use the facilities. Put a little ding in the slide by the serrations, no big deal. I hadn't given it another thought until I saw this thread. Nothing happened then, and honestly it never occurred to me that anything might have. I'm sure it's fine.

Thanks for still being here!

Doug
