Shooting with the pocket slipper laser

So the more I think about it, the more curious I am about the pocket slipper. I've seen some discussions about how becoming dependent on a laser is a bad thing (true), how it leaves the trigger guard unprotected (bothers me too), how it's ugly (no comment)...

But what I haven't seen is people who've actually shot with the thing talking about what it's like. Losing a finger on the grip worries me... does it try to jump out of your hand? This gun is a handful at the best of times, and I worry about followup shots with a two-finger grip. So you folks that have actually used the damn thing, what did you think (about this issue and any other that comes to mind)?

I guess I'm just an old fashioned traditional shooter.  It just does not interest me for ME.

But I would be interested in reading other's experiences with it.

I went through the laser craze for a while, had guide rod laser on a G-36, laser grips on a S&W 340, laser grips on my 1911 and a laser on my S&W 22A. They are all gone now. Having one on a target shooting or plinking weapon is fine and can be a lot of fun. My thought now is at an SD distance the laser is going to be a non issue, at 10 feet or so under the stress of whats going down, you won't even think about the laser. If you had the time to take cover and actually take aim it may be helpful.
 Just my thoughts from having and shooting lasers on several makes and models.
  But if CT were to come out with laser GRIPS (not a trigger guard laser) for the pup, I would probably try them, just for fun.

Lasers are great. They are a great addition to any weapon used for protection. On a duty weapon the little dot can keep you from having to fire your weapon. More than once the laser has made a BG change his mind and kept me from having to use deadly force.

Never have been a fan of a laser sight, but if it can save one life;  deserves rethinking!

Just curious, yankee2500... what do you have against the trigger guard lasers?

I'll add my 0.02 about the Pocket Slipper Laser Sight for the Rohrbaugh (the ONLY laser currently made for the Rohrbaugh).   It's UGLY AS SIN.   It also takes 1 of the 2 fingers you did have to grip the gun out of the picture.  It also makes it where you can't holster the gun to cover the trigger.  It also (last one) is not adjustable to aim at where the bullet is really going.  I don't have anything against laser's in general but I think this design for the Rohrbaugh is HORRIBLE.

I did not realize you can't adjust the laser. I just lost about 80% of my interest in this thing.

So, other options. Anyone ever try modifying a Crimson Trace from some other gun to work with the R9? The trigger guard on a Ruger LCP doesn't actually look that similar, but maybe there's something out there that could be made to work...

On the other hand, this would mean that none of my holsters would fit anymore. Why is there no good solution here? I just want some frakking CT laser grips! Is that too much to ask?
