Dino-

It was sold to me as "new-in-box" from a dealer on gunbroker with good feedback.   I wonder if someone bought it or ordered it from them with an extra magazine and changed their mind.  It has no sign of wear or previous shooting so I guess it was technically new.  It came all nicely wrapped inside the box and had both the inner and outer box and all case candy included.   I had been watching pups on gunbroker for a couple of months and was "watching" this one.  It closed with no bids so I called the dealer and offered them the opening bid and they accepted it.  I got lucky I guess.

Enjoy yours, I am looking forward to hearing your opinon after you get a chance to shoot it.

Great deal, I should have done more shopping but...I had to have it.  Now I just can't seem to get time to shoot it.  Will send pics and give an update when I do.

Ok I finally shot it!  Two boxes of Gold Dot 115g and most of a box of Magtech 115g.  I figured if it ate Magtech it would eat anything.

The r9 does have a little bit of a bite, more than my 45acp 3" springfield Micro. But I loved everyshot of it.
One failure to feed when the mouth of the gold dot hollow point hung on the feed ramp.  However this was towards the end of about 60 rounds and I mixed my remaining gold dots in the mag with Magtech. (dirty trick i know).  Also my hand was sore by then and it could have been limp wrist.

Over all the gun shot well and was just a little low at 15 feet,  had to bring the front sight to it's base to get on center. Very happy I bought it!  Will send Pics when my son has time to show me how and my holsters come in.  :)

Dino:

Good report! Just keep the little masterpiece clean and well lubricated and it should serve you well.

I find that 60 rounds or so at a session with the R9 is about all my shooting hand will absorb without beginning to remind me of my limitations -- and, as Inspector Harold Francis "Dirty Harry" Callahan would say, "A man's got to know his limitations."   ;)

Yeah, I know what you mean the webbing between my thumb and index finger is sore today.  But I am still smiling at the fact that the gun shot so well.
To be honest after reading some of the stuff online about the r9 I was afraid of a bunch of FTF's and soft primer hits.
My primers were hit hard and the gun performed nicely.
Most of all I carry it where as I left my Springfield Micro at home a lot and felt under guned with my kel tec p32.

Thanks if it wasn't for Richard and a snow day at work I would have never done it.  Sorry it took so long.

Dino:

Great collection!

Would you like for me to bring those photographs forward to this thread rather than leave them as links?

Again, that a great collection of shooters.
