So, here is the deal as it stands...

I pay for the domain name registration, which is only about $25 per year.  TechGuy hosts the forum on his personal server, and does not charge me per se.  He is a long time (since middle school) friend, a veteran Army chopper pilot, and a computer geek.  I am not sure what it would cost me if I had to pay for a server, but I am guessing maybe $50 a month?

So, traditionally, I have sent him most of the money collected to keep him motivated to not cut me off!  ;)

He keeps telling me that the forum software has become outdated, and is not being updated.  We talked about moving to a different system, but we are understandably worried about a loss of content in the process.   So we keep thinking -- if it's not broke, don't fix it yet.  The forum has some issues (like hanging up when posting), but it remains workable.

So... if anyone is inclined to send some money to keep Tech Guy (Steve) on board, I am happy to pass it along.

I can't promise we will still be here in 10 years, but I hope so.  We will make all reasonable efforts to keep the community alive!

-Duane
